Product Specific Information

The AFS98 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD115, a receptor for macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF or CSF-1). CD115 is expressed by monocytes, macrophages, osteoclasts, and some epithelial cells. It is a 150 kDa c-fms gene product and belongs to the immunoglobulin family. CSF-1 signaling through CSF-1R regulates proliferation and differentiation of monocytic lineage cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on thioglycolate-elicited peritoneal macrophages. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited with a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CSF1R (FMS):
A tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor involved in macrophage production, differentiation, and function. Activated by ligand binding through oligomerization and transphosphorylation. Plays a key role in hematopoietic precursor cell regulation and inflammatory processes. Mutations are associated with myeloid malignancies.
