Anti-Desmoplakin pS2849 affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide near the C-terminus of human Desmoplakin protein.

Anti-Desmoplakin pS2849 is directed against the phosphorylated form of the S2849 human residue.
A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with mouse and human based on 100% sequence homology.
Cross-reactivity with Desmoplakin pS2849 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

Desmoplakin (DSP) is a major high molecular weight protein of the desmosomes.
It is involved in organizing desmosomal cadherin-plakoglobin complexes into plasma membrane domains and anchoring intermediate filaments to desmosomes.
Desmoplakin mutations are associated with keratoderma and cardiomyopathy.
