Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water.
- Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The peptide is homologous in many species including rat, mouse, zebrafish, xenopus, and chicken.
- Specificity: Erk1 and Erk2.
Target Information
ERK1 and ERK2 are widely expressed and involved in the regulation of meiosis, mitosis, and postmitotic functions in differentiated cells.
They are activated by various stimuli such as growth factors, cytokines, virus infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.
Upon activation, Raf phosphorylates MEK1/2, which then phosphorylates ERK1/2 on tyrosine/threonine residues.
Activated ERKs phosphorylate cytoplasmic targets or migrate to the nucleus to activate transcription factors including c-Fos and Elk-1.
