Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
HRG (Histidine-rich glycoprotein) contains two cystatin-like domains and is found in plasma and platelets. Its precise physiological function is not fully determined, but it binds heme, dyes, and divalent metal ions. HRG can inhibit rosette formation and interacts with heparin, thrombospondin, and plasminogen. It may influence fibrinolysis and coagulation, suggesting a potential prothrombotic role. Mutations in HRG can cause thrombophilia due to abnormal protein levels.
