Product Specific Information

The monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa antibody serves as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
It is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and tested on mouse splenocytes and human peripheral blood cells.
Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Super Bright 780 is a tandem dye excited at 405 nm and emits at 780 nm.
Recommended detection with a 780/60 bandpass filter. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

In some experiments, higher compensation values were observed in the violet 450/50 channel using UltraComp eBeads (Product # 01-2222-42) or AbC Total Antibody Compensation Beads (Product # A10497).
In such cases, set compensation with cells.

Light sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens.
Commonly used as a negative control in immunoassays, it does not bind to many mammalian antigens.
Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting.
It is also valuable in gene targeting studies for generating rat models to investigate human disease mechanisms.
