Product Specific Information
The MIH5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7-H1 (PD-L1). B7-H1 is a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of ~40 kDa and belongs to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed on T, B, NK, and dendritic cells and acts as a ligand for PD-1. The PD-1/PD-L1 interaction inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH5 is reported to be a blocking antibody.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. PD-L1 ligation decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in murine and human cancers and upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation, suggesting its role in tumor immune evasion.
