For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

SOCS (Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling) proteins are SH2 domain-containing adaptor molecules that negatively regulate cytokine receptor signaling.
Eight family members are known: SOCS-1 through SOCS-7 and CIS.
Structurally, SOCS proteins have:

• An N-terminal variable region
• A central SH2 domain
• A C-terminal SOCS box motif

SOCS proteins form part of a negative feedback loop regulating cytokine signal transduction via a STAT-induced transcriptional mechanism.
Transcription of SOCS genes occurs rapidly in response to cytokines, and each family member inhibits signaling through distinct mechanisms.
