Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is dominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as an early marker of neuronal differentiation. It is widely used as a specific probe for identifying neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. Although most abundant in neuronal cells, betaIII-tubulin is also detected in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
