Product Specific Information

This TUGh4 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD132, the common gamma chain (γc) shared by the IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, and IL-15 receptors. This approximately 65 kDa receptor component is expressed on T and B lymphocytes, NK cells, monocytes, and granulocytes. CD132 participates in intracellular signal transduction by associating with effector molecules within the cytoplasm. Mutations in the human gamma chain gene result in X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), characterized by T cell deficiency and impaired cell-mediated and humoral immunity.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Target Information

IL2RG is a key signaling component of multiple interleukin receptors (IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-21), known as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID) and X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), disorders associated with impaired immune function.
