Endotoxin level: <0.01 EU/µg.
For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils.
It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms.
CD14 binds lipopolysaccharide via lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) and plays a key role in immune response modulation.
Soluble CD14 (sCD14) can distinguish structural differences between lipopolysaccharides and contributes to neutralization processes.
Additionally, CD14 binds apoptotic cells and influences allergic, inflammatory, and infectious processes.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same CD14 isoform.
Diseases associated with CD14 dysfunction include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
