In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human Integrin beta 1, beta 2, recombinant mouse Integrin beta 4, or beta 6 is observed.
Target Information
CD61 (GPIIIa, ITGB3) is a glycoprotein expressed on megakaryocytes, platelets, and their precursors. It functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and vitronectin, playing a key role in platelet aggregation and cell adhesion.
CD61 associates with αIIb (CD41) or αV (CD51) integrins on the cell surface. It is a 105 kDa glycoprotein composed of α and β chains, forming various integrin complexes.
Abnormalities in CD61 are linked to Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet-type 16 Bleeding Disorder.
