Target Information
NEK2 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cell cycle regulation and essential for faithful chromosome segregation. It is primarily located in the centrosome and plays a crucial role in mitosis regulation. NEK2 levels increase throughout the S phase and peak in late G2 phase. The gene produces multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing and is associated with diseases such as Retinitis Pigmentosa 67.
