Antibody detects endogenous levels of total IKB epsilon.
Target Information
NFKB1 or NFKB2 binds to REL, RELA, or RELB to form the NF-κB complex. The complex is inhibited by I-kappa-B proteins (NFKBIA or NFKBIB), which retain NF-κB in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of I-kappa-B proteins by kinases (IKBKA or IKBKB) leads to their degradation via the ubiquitination pathway, enabling NF-κB activation. Activated NF-κB translocates into the nucleus and binds DNA at κB-binding motifs such as 5'-GGGRNNYYCC-3' or 5'-HGGARNYYCC-3'. Activation of certain genes requires NF-κB interaction with other transcription factors, including STAT, AP1, and NFAT.
