Target Information
L1CAM (CD171)은 immunoglobulin supergene family에 속하는 축삭성 당단백질로, 여러 immunoglobulin-like domain과 fibronectin type III 반복 구조를 가진 ectodomain이 단일 transmembrane 서열을 통해 보존된 세포질 도메인과 연결되어 있습니다.
이 세포 부착 분자는 신경계 발달, 특히 신경세포 이동 및 분화에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
L1CAM 유전자의 돌연변이는 CRASH 증후군(뇌량 저형성, 지적 장애, 실어증, 경직성 하반신마비, 수두증)으로 알려진 X-연관 신경학적 질환을 유발합니다.
신경세포 특이적 엑손의 대체 스플라이싱은 기능적으로 중요한 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
