Alzheimer’s disease 발병과 관련이 있으며, 유전자 변이는 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MHBD)의 원인입니다. 여러 전사체 변이가 보고되었으며, 그중 두 가지는 완전 길이가 확인되었습니다.
