Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.05% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse MIP-3 beta, recombinant human GRO alpha, HCC-4, Eotaxin, mouse MIP-3 alpha, rat MIP-3 alpha, and human MIP-3 alpha is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
CCL19, also known as MIP-3 beta (Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 beta), is a member of the CC subfamily of chemokines. It is closely related to CCL21, sharing 32% amino acid sequence homology. Both are expressed mainly by stromal cells in T cell-rich zones of lymph nodes and are key mediators of homeostatic trafficking of naive T cells and activated dendritic cells into secondary lymphoid organs. They also contribute to T cell priming, activation, and lymphocyte recruitment to inflamed tissues. Both signal via the G protein-coupled receptor CCR7, expressed on T cells and mature dendritic cells. Although both ligands bind CCR7 with similar affinity, only CCL19 binding induces receptor desensitization and internalization.
