Product Specific Information
Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
- Human, Gorilla, Marmoset, Elephant, Panda (100%)
- Mouse, Rat (94%)
- Opossum, Platypus (89%)
- Chicken, Xenopus (83%)
For IHC(P), use proteinase K antigen retrieval. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are a large family of receptors characterized by seven transmembrane domains. Activation of GPCRs by extracellular stimuli such as neurotransmitters, hormones, or light induces an intracellular signaling cascade mediated by heterotrimeric GTP-binding proteins (G proteins).
The 375 amino acid GPCR GPR27 protein contains features typical of the GPCR family, including:
- Seven transmembrane domains
- Potential N-linked glycosylation sites in the N-terminal extracellular domain
- Conserved cysteine residues forming a disulfide bridge in the first and second extracellular loops
