Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease of the kallikrein family, produced by prostate epithelium and abundant in seminal fluid.
PSA is detectable in sera of patients with prostatic carcinoma and is mainly complexed with alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT).
A higher proportion of PSA-ACT complex is observed in prostate cancer compared to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
PSA is used to confirm prostatic acinar cell origin in primary and metastatic carcinoma and to exclude non-prostatic mimics.
