CHEK1 (CHK1)는 DNA 손상 시 복제 억제를 담당하는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제로, DNA 손상 유도 체크포인트 네트워크의 핵심 매개체입니다. CHK1은 유전체 안정성을 유지하는 진화적으로 보존된 단백질 키나아제이며, CHK1 억제 시 p53 결핍 암세포는 유사분열 재앙 및 세포사멸을 겪습니다. 따라서 CHK1 억제제는 DNA 손상 유도 약물의 효능을 증가시킬 수 있으며, p53 결핍 암세포 치료의 유망한 표적입니다.
