Product Specific Information
- Reconstitution:
Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
This gene encodes a voltage-gated delayed potassium channel phylogenetically related to the Drosophila Shaker channel.
The encoded protein has six transmembrane segments, with the loop between S5 and S6 forming the pore and containing the conserved selectivity filter motif.
The functional channel is a homotetramer.
The N-terminus associates with beta subunits that modulate inactivation and expression levels, while the C-terminus complexes with PDZ domain proteins responsible for channel targeting.
Mutations in this gene are associated with myokymia with periodic ataxia.
