Target Information

HLA-DQA2 belongs to the HLA class II alpha chain family. It forms a heterodimer with a class II beta chain and is located in intracellular vesicles.
This protein plays a key role in peptide loading of MHC class II molecules by releasing the CLIP molecule from the peptide binding site.
Class II molecules are expressed in antigen-presenting cells (B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages) and present antigenic peptides to CD4 T-cells.

HLA and MHC antibodies are crucial in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
