Target Information
IkB-alpha는 NF-κB 활성을 억제하는 40 kDa 단백질로, 세포질 내에서 IκB 단백질과 NF-κB 이합체 간 상호작용을 통해 NF-κB의 핵 이동을 차단합니다.
TNF-α, IL-1β, PMA, 성장인자, LPS, UV 조사, 바이러스 감염 등 다양한 자극에 의해 IkB-alpha가 분해되어 NF-κB가 활성화됩니다.
NF-κB 활성화에는 IkB-alpha의 특정 세린 잔기(Ser32, Ser36)에서의 인산화가 필요하며, 이는 IKKα(또는 CHUK)에 의해 매개됩니다.
IKK 복합체는 IKKα, IKKβ, IKKγ 세 가지 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있으며, 각각 IkB 인산화에 필수적인 역할을 합니다.
인간에서 IkB-alpha 유전자는 염색체 14q에 위치합니다.
