This antibody detects endogenous levels of total AKAP1 protein.
Target Information
This gene encodes an enzyme that reversibly catalyzes the phosphorolysis of purine nucleosides. The enzyme is trimeric, containing three identical subunits. Mutations causing nucleoside phosphorylase deficiency lead to defective T-cell–mediated immunity and may affect B-cell immunity and antibody responses. Neurologic disorders can also occur in patients with immune defects. A known polymorphism at amino acid position 51 does not affect enzyme activity. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2.
