Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The claudin superfamily consists of many structurally related proteins in humans, including claudin 1 through 18. These proteins are key structural and functional components of tight junctions involved in paracellular transport. Claudins are found in epithelial and endothelial cells across all tight junction-bearing tissues, forming tight junction strands with four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops. Claudin-11 is an oligodendrocyte-specific protein expressed in the tight junctions of Sertoli cells and myelin sheaths in mice.
