S1P1은 sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P)에 결합하는 G-protein coupled receptor로, G(i) subclass에 속하는 heteromeric G proteins에 연결되어 있습니다. S1P1 신호 전달은 RAC1, SRC, PTK2/FAK1 및 MAP kinase의 활성화를 유도하며, 세포 이동 및 actin cytoskeleton 재구성에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 정상적인 sphingosine 1-phosphate에 대한 화학주성, 배아 심장 발달 및 심장 형태 형성에 필수적입니다.
