• For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only prior to immediate use.
• In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant human IL17-F in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
• A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

IL-17F (Interleukin 17F, CTLA-8) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family, produced by inflammatory cells such as activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils.
It is involved in allergic airway inflammation and induces cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules in bronchial epithelial cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and eosinophils.
IL-17F may exist as a homodimer or a heterodimer with IL-17A and binds to the IL-17R receptor, promoting monocyte and neutrophil recruitment by increasing chemokine production.
It stimulates pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8, and is implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
IL-17F is produced by activated effector memory T cells and can inhibit angiogenesis while inducing IL-2, TGF-β, and MCP-1 production in endothelial cells.
