Target Information
Pan Cadherin (CDH1, CDH2, CDH3, CDH4)은 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착을 매개하는 막 관통 단백질 계열에 속합니다. Cadherin은 발생 과정 중 형태발생적 이동을 조절하고, 동일 Cadherin 종 간의 동종 결합을 통해 세포 표면 접착을 조절합니다.
N-Cadherin의 기능은 actin-cytoskeleton과의 결합에 의존하며, C-말단 영역과 세포질 catenin 단백질 간 상호작용을 통해 매개됩니다. 이 결합의 안정성은 β-catenin의 인산화 및 탈인산화에 의해 조절됩니다.
본 유전자는 Cadherin superfamily의 classical cadherin으로, 5개의 extracellular cadherin 반복, 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 꼬리를 포함하는 칼슘 의존적 세포-세포 접착 당단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 gastrulation 동안 기능하며 좌우 비대칭성 확립에 필요합니다. 또한 중추신경계의 특정 시냅스에서, presynaptic-to-postsynaptic 접착이 부분적으로 이 유전자 산물에 의해 매개됩니다.
