This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Target Information

The CA8 gene product was initially named CA-related protein due to sequence similarity with other carbonic anhydrases but lacks catalytic activity. Despite this, it retains the carbonic anhydrase designation based on sequence identity.
Absence of CA8 transcription in the cerebellum of lurcher mutant mice suggests its important role in neurological function.
