Cross-reactivity with Histone H3 from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in eukaryotic chromatin. Together with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes that organize DNA structure.
Histones regulate transcription, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications (methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation) on the N-terminal tail of H3 influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
