Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Anti-Histone H3 K9Ac/pS10 reacts with human Histone H3. Cross-reactivity with other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. H3, along with four core histone proteins, binds to DNA forming the structure of the nucleosome. Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability. Post-translationally, histones are modified in various ways to either directly change chromatin structure or allow for the binding of specific transcription factors. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo several types of post-translational modification, including methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing multiple cellular processes.
