Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
TSC2 (Tuberin, Tuberous sclerosis complex subunit 2) acts as a tumor suppressor and may function in vesicular transport and regulation of cell growth arrest. It associates with hamartin (TSC1) forming a cytosolic complex that regulates transcription mediated by steroid receptors. Phosphorylation of tuberin on Ser939 and Thr1462 modulates its interaction with hamartin via the PI3K/Akt pathway. TSC2 also stimulates the GTPase activity of RAP1A and RAB5, implicating its role in cell growth regulation. Mutations in TSC2 are associated with diseases such as lymphangioleiomyomatosis and angiomyolipoma.
