This antibody reacts with HIV-1 p24 subtype B, C, and A, and has been mapped to amino acids 48–62 (TPQDLNTMLNTVGGH).

Target Information
HIV-1 Gag p24 is a capsid protein forming the core of the AIDS virus HIV-1. It is produced by proteolytic cleavage of the precursor Gag p55 by HIV-1 protease.
HIV-1 Gag p24 is essential for viral particle assembly and replication. It is detectable at early stages of HIV infection and serves as a marker for monitoring viral load and treatment response.
