Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This DyLight™ 680 conjugated affinity purified antibody is directed against human ERK2 protein. Cross-reactivity is expected to occur with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. This antibody does not react with the ERK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as an important activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK pathway. MAP kinases, also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), act as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals and are involved in various cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development. The activation of this kinase requires phosphorylation by upstream kinases. Upon activation, this kinase translocates to the nucleus of stimulated cells, where it phosphorylates nuclear targets.
