Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This DyLight™ 680 conjugated affinity purified antibody is directed against human ERK1 protein. Cross-reactivity is expected to occur with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. This antibody does not react with the ERK2 isoform.
Target Information
MAPK3 (ERK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates p90, RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and is involved in the MAPK signaling pathway. ERK1 is widely expressed and regulates meiosis, mitosis, and post-mitotic functions in differentiated cells. It is activated by various stimuli including growth factors, cytokines, viral infection, GPCR ligands, and transforming agents. Activated ERK1 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets, influencing proliferation, differentiation, and cell cycle progression. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms of ERK1.
