  • Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
Cross-reactivity against Glutathione-S-Transferase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Target Information

GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is commonly used to create GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system is widely used in numerous expression vectors.
