Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms the nucleosome structure.
Histones play essential roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 undergoes post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing chromatin structure and gene expression.
