Target Information
RBBP9 may play a role in cellular transformation by conferring resistance to TGF-β1-induced growth inhibition through interaction with retinoblastoma protein and displacement of E2F-1.
The encoded protein regulates cell proliferation and differentiation.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants have been reported, one of which is a nonsense-mediated decay candidate.
