Haptoglobin은 간에서 합성되는 α2-글로불린 혈장 단백질로, 용혈된 적혈구에서 유래한 헤모글로빈을 제거하는 역할을 하는 급성기 단백질입니다.
Haptoglobin 단량체는 두 개의 α사슬과 두 개의 β사슬로 구성되며, α사슬은 hp1Fa, hp1Sa 또는 hp2a 타입일 수 있고, β사슬은 일정합니다.
주요 표현형은 HP1-1, HP2-1, HP2-2로 구분되며, hp1a 사슬은 F형 또는 S형일 수 있습니다.
