Description:
CD115 (CSF-1R) is expressed on cells committed to the monocyte lineage and osteoclasts. It is a disulfide-linked homodimer that, upon binding CSF-1, undergoes tyrosine autophosphorylation and activates downstream signaling leading to cytoskeletal remodeling, gene transcription, and protein translation. CSF-1R activation promotes survival, proliferation, and differentiation of mononuclear phagocytes and supports macrophage motility. In osteoclasts, CSF-1R synergizes with RANKL to regulate differentiation from mononuclear precursors.

Applications Tested:
This antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤ 1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal performance requires titration for each assay.

CSF1R (FMS):
A tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor involved in macrophage production, differentiation, and function. Ligand binding (CSF1, IL34) induces receptor oligomerization and transphosphorylation, regulating hematopoietic precursor survival and differentiation. Plays a key role in innate immunity and inflammatory processes. Mutations in CSF1R are linked to myeloid malignancies.
