Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sCD34. Anti-Human sCD34-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human sCD34 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human sCD34 (500-P327) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human sCD34.

Western Blot:
To detect Human sCD34 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit for Recombinant Human sCD34 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) found on various stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker and may function as a receptor involved in adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells. CD34 expression is reversible and represents specific developmental states with distinct adhesion properties. It may mediate attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells and act as a scaffold for glycan attachment, facilitating interactions with lectins. The intracellular domain is phosphorylated by protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction.
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
