Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 3C4 (mIC2/4) recognizes mouse CD102 (ICAM-2), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two extracellular Ig domains. CD102 binds LFA (CD11a/CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18), mediating interactions with lymphocytes. It plays roles in NK cytotoxicity, migration, and lymphocyte recirculation, and is expressed on most lymphocytes, monocytes, and platelets.

The 3C4 (mIC2/4) antibody blocks lymphocyte interaction with antigen-presenting cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes; ≤1 µg/test recommended. A test is defined as staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Optimal titration is recommended.

eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®, excited at 405 nm and emitting at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information

ICAM-2 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. It contains 2–9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and binds to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. ICAM-2 mediates adhesive interactions crucial for immune responses, NK-cell clearance, and lymphocyte recirculation. It may play a role in blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. Diseases associated with ICAM2 include Colon Carcinoma In Situ.
