Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-22. The anti-Human IL-22-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human IL-22 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-22 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-22 (500-P211Bt) as the detection antibody, at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-22 can be detected.
Western Blot:
For detection of Human IL-22 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.

IL-22 (Interleukin-22)
IL-22, also known as IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor, is an alpha-helical cytokine belonging to the IFN–IL-10 family, which includes IL-19, IL-20, IL-24, IL-26, IL-28, IL-29, and type I/II interferons. It is mainly produced by activated T cells and NK cells.
The IL-22 gene is located on chromosome 12q and is structurally related to IL-10. IL-22 acts through the heterodimeric receptor complex IL-22R1 and IL-10R2, activating the JAK-STAT pathway.
IL-22 primarily affects nonimmune cells such as epithelial cells of the skin, digestive, and respiratory systems, as well as hepatocytes and keratinocytes. It is an effector cytokine of the Th17 lineage, regulating genes associated with innate immunity and wound healing.
IL-22 is upregulated during chronic inflammation and plays a critical role in host defense and tissue repair.
