Target Information
Reelin is an extracellular matrix serine protease involved in neuronal layering in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum. It regulates microtubule function and neuronal migration, influencing the positioning of sympathetic preganglionic neurons in the spinal cord. Reelin acts as a barrier to neuronal migration and modulates cell adhesion through enzymatic activity.
Binding to VLDLR and LRP8/APOER2 receptors induces tyrosine phosphorylation of DAB1 and affects TAU phosphorylation.
