The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5, also known as BLR1).
CD185 is a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells, and memory T cells. It plays a crucial role in lymphocyte trafficking, particularly T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, making it a marker of follicular helper T cells.

- Recommended Usage: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per 100 µL cell sample (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
- Fluorochrome: Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605), emits at 605 nm (Violet laser, 405 nm excitation)
- Buffer Recommendation: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Cat. SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Cat. 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
- Light Sensitivity: Protect from light.
- Fixation Compatibility: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Cat. 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Cat. 00-5333-54). Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

CXCR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC, expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphoid tissues such as lymph nodes and spleen. It regulates B cell migration and is present in various tissues including blood, bone marrow, brain, liver, and tonsil. CXCR5 belongs to the GPCR family, which mediates signal transduction via G-proteins. GPCRs are major pharmacological targets, with several drugs developed based on this mechanism.
