Product Specific Information

The SA-DA4 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of human IgM. It does not react with other classes of human immunoglobulin including IgD, IgG, or IgA. IgM is expressed intracellularly during early stages of B lymphopoiesis and on the surface of mature B cells.

Testing has revealed variations in staining of non-B cell populations, likely due to donor variability and anticoagulant choice. Sodium citrate is recommended to minimize non-specific staining.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL).

Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605) emits at 605 nm and is designed for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
BV605 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.
