Product Specific Information

Description:
The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5/BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma. CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells (excluding Th1/Th2), and a subset of memory T cells (CD45RO+). It plays a key role in lymphocyte trafficking and T cell migration into B cell follicles of germinal centers in response to CXCL13, serving as a marker of follicular helper T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis

Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 605 (BV605) emits at 605 nm and is intended for use with a 405 nm (violet) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Buffer Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation:
Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54). Store fixed samples up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), CXCR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC, expressed in lymphatic tissues and Burkitt’s lymphoma. It plays a critical role in B cell migration and immune cell trafficking. Expression is observed in lymph nodes, spleen, tonsil, and various tissues.
