This antibody detects endogenous levels of PDGF Receptor beta only when phosphorylated at Tyr751.
Target Information
PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The ligand bound to the receptor determines whether the receptor forms a homodimer or heterodimer (with PDGFRA). The PDGFRB gene, located on chromosome 5, is adjacent to genes for granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor, all potentially involved in 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 that fuses PDGFRB (CD140b) with the ETV6 leukemia gene results in chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
