This antibody detects endogenous levels of PSD93 only when phosphorylated at Tyr348.
Target Information
PSD-93, also known as chapsyn-110, is a plasma membrane-associated protein found in synaptic junctions. It is uniquely expressed in Purkinje neuron cell bodies and dendrites. PSD-93 contains three PDZ domains, an SH3 domain, and a carboxyl-terminal Guanylate Kinase (GuK) domain that is enzymatically inactive. PDZ-domain interactions are thought to contribute to receptor and channel clustering, influencing neuronal plasticity. PSD-93 is involved in clustering NMDA receptors and shaker-type potassium channels at the synaptic membrane. These interactions often involve a conserved T/SXV motif. Additionally, neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) associates with PSD-93 through PDZ–PDZ interactions.
