Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of FGFR2 only when phosphorylated at Ser782.

Target Information

FGFR2 is a member of the FGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This family regulates various cellular functions including angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tissue repair after injury. FGFR family members are implicated in diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetic retinopathy. Mutations in FGFR2 are associated with syndromes including Crouzon, Pfeiffer, Craniosynostosis, Apert, Jackson-Weiss, Beare-Stevenson cutis gyrata, Saethre-Chotzen, and other syndromic craniosynostoses. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
