This antibody detects endogenous levels of FGFR3 only when phosphorylated at Tyr577.
Target Information
FGFR3 is a member of the FGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases, which regulate various cellular functions such as angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tissue repair. Members of this family are implicated in diseases including cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetic retinopathy. FGFR3 binds fibroblast growth factors and plays a critical role in bone development and maintenance. Mutations in FGFR3 are associated with craniosynostosis and skeletal dysplasia. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
